History
The Arbor House opened in 1987 as an antique shop initially established as a partnership. In 1989, Curtis Ann Davis became the sole proprietor of this unique shop located on the edge of Alvin, Texas. After the sale of the property in 1997, Arbor Antiques Services, Inc. emerged in January 1998. Curtis Ann Davis is president and an active owner of the business. Curtis Ann’s interest in antiques and collectibles began as a teenager. She collected dolls and glassware. Her first experience working in the business was for an art gallery and antique shop in Germany. This piqued her interest in antiques even more. So when settling in Alvin she opened her own shop. Curtis Ann is well-respected among dealers, collectors and show promoters and is very knowledgeable about a wide range of topics related to her field. She is also listed in the Who’s Who in Executives and Businesses and is a charter member of The Antique & Craft Guild of Alvin, Inc., serving as its President for four years and is a member of the national Antique Dealers & Collectors Association. Arbor Antiques Services, Inc. provides an integrated plan of assistance for today’s buying and selling public using several marketing methods for the disposition of antiques and estate items.
