Native Texan Richard Schmidt draws inspiration from the rich heritage and faith of his beautiful and wild homeland to handcraft his one-of-a-kind jewelry.
In college, Richard studied Geography and Art, taking many precious metals classes which sparked his interest in jewelry.
Most of what he knows is self-taught, usually by trial and error which developed into his artistic style. Richard loves what he does and considers himself blessed to be able to create jewelry as his full time job.
“Designing and making jewelry is truly my passion. I put my heart and soul into each piece,” Richard says. His designs are a mix of modern style and rugged spirit, stories told in silver, gold, turquoise, coral, and brilliant semi-precious stones.
The hammered sterling silver gives each piece a distinct texture and tone while the detailed oxidation offers striking depth. When composed together, you get a real showstopper of a piece.
